Bonda (Mother)

Sembilan purnama rahimmu menenun sahaya (nine months I was weaved in your womb)

Sehingga mengibarkan lembaran cukup sifat (Until the complete pages fluttered)

Putih suci diselubungi kembangan mewangi (White and chaste veiled by fragrant pot-pourri)

Tangisan ceriamu mengiringi tangisan hujan melimpah ke bumi(Your tears of joy accompanied the tears from heaven bestowing the earth)

Bonda (Mother)

Pabila sahaya keluar menghirup udara (When I emerged to inhale air)

Mata pejam rapat tulus dari noda (Eyes shut tight free from stain)

Diselimuti darah baka srikandi dan pendekar (Covered in genes from a patriot couple)

Senyuman sinarmu menerangi pelosok dunia dikaburi nista (Your glistening smile brightens the darkest corner of the world)

Bonda (Mother)

Tanganmu selembut sutera (Your hands are soft as silk)

Menyentuh kulit halus sahaya (Touching my delicate skin)

Menggendong tunas mendodoikan puisi (Carrying the bud in your arms humming poetry)

Ketawa syukurmu menggamit halilintar mematahkan tusukannya(Your grateful laughter grasping and snapping the pierce of the thunderbolt)

Bonda (Mother)

Setelah pancaindera sahaya mekar (After my senses bloomed)

Mata bertentang dua butir mutiara (Eyes staring at two grain of pearls)

Kelopak matamu berkilau bagai kaca (Your eyes' petals glitter like glass)

Suara merdumu bak biduanita kayangan mengusap nyawa lapar (Your melodious angelic voice caresses famished souls)

Bonda (Mother)

Usap sayangmu tiada bandingan (Your endearing touch has no equal)

Srikandi warisan berjuang antara hidup dan gugur (Female patriot who crusaded between life and death)

Demi membawa sahaya ke buana sementara (To bring me to a transient universe)

Kata sukmamu hanya satu (You cited only one)

“Selamat datang tunas nyawa bangsa Melayu” ("Welcome to the Malay world my son")
